Apr. 10th, 2002 10:27 pmHey! Entered new Armenian data into computer today, set program running and went out for food and cocktails at Maypole tonight. Get back to find that Armenian has located itself in a totally acceptable position within my tree, not disturbing the other branches' placement at all. It actually groups with Greek, which has been suggested before as a plausible subgroup within IE, though not generally accepted as proven. Well, this is a little more evidence for it (along with Indo-Hittite and Italo-Celtic - controversial subgroups R us). The branching order is thus: Hittite first, Albanian, Greco-Armenian, Indo-Iranian, Balto-Slavic, Germanic, leaving core of Italo-Celtic. Hurray!
