I am very silly. I just managed to break two glasses at once. G had gone out to get some wine, leaving his mp3 list going on random play, and his computer headphones tangled round a couple of empty glasses next to his keyboard (with the wire trailing on the floor). It was like the start of an episode of Casualty - the room was filled with foreboding. I was sitting at my computer on the other side of the room, playing Spider Solitaire. Suddenly, an REM song came up on the playlist. I have an intense and enduring hatred of REM, so I leapt up and ran over to G's computer to change the song to something else. So vigorous was I in my attempt that I caught my foot in the trailing lead of the headphones next to G's computer, and pulled both glasses onto the floor, where they smashed instantly.
