Recently I have been down to Camden for an OU meeting (and saw ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
ciphergoth and purplerabbits in the Dev afterwards), been contacting 45-odd students and trying to reassure them about their imminent studies, been frantically reading the very late materials for the new course which I'm giving a tutorial for this Saturday, gone to the beer festival at the USSC, gone to a friend's birthday do at Kami's (lovely meal, less pleasant aftermath in which various people insulted me), received some much-needed bookshelves second hand from G's parents (and filled them with books) and given up alcohol for 6 months. G is currently driving me round the bend playing Final Fantasy X (or some similar number) every moment he is at home. It must be the most irritating game (in terms of music and sound effects) he has ever played in my presence.
