Argh, this week has been a mad rush of getting last-minute things organised! I made a big list on Monday of everything that had to be done by Friday, and it's pretty much all sorted now. G's ring finally arrived; his boots arrived but were the wrong size so we'll send them back and try to buy some better ones tomorrow when G has the day off work. Tonight we'll redye my hair; tomorrow I'll pick up some flowers for me and K; today I have a few small errands to run and am seeing the doctor in about half an hour to see if anything can be done to ameliorate this horrible cough I've acquired!
G is incredibly nervous about everything going well on Saturday. I am somehow not that nervous; not quite sure why! Have just rung my parents to tell them relevant arrangements; my mother burst into tears again for no obvious reason. Somehow I doubt it's with joy :-/ Oh, what is wrong with my family?! The only relative of mine who will be coming (apart from my parents) is my aunt Marion from Aberdeen; my aunt Christine from London was going to come, but has just landed an acting job which requires her to film on Saturday; my other relatives are too old and ill to come (my grandparents), or have to stay home and look after their pets (my cousin) or have recently fallen out horrifically with each other and aren't on speaking terms any more (everyone else). Ah well; lots of my friends should be there on Saturday anyway.

I'd suggest turning up at the Registry Office about 10 to 2. As far as I'm concerned, you can wear whatever you feel happiest in, but G may have some more specific preference for his ushers!
