Jan. 7th, 2002 05:39 pmI have been very productive this afternoon, sorting out cheques that need to be paid in, sending difficult emails to people, arranging a guesthouse place in Jersey, tidying up some mess in my room. Well, ok, not _that_ productive, but it's a start. Tomorrow, I should do my laundry, sort out registering with a dentist in Cambridge (I've been here nearly 10 years, and never had a check-up; oops), perhaps go to Going Places and try to sort out ferry/whatever to Jersey. And pay in cheques, if my ex replies and says it's ok to pay in the cheque he gave me a while back (I don't want to cause him any difficulty).
Will go to geek pizza tonight; haven't been for about a month. Will be nice getting back into a routine of some sort. Maybe my life will get a bit less chaotic soon, as people return to Cambridge and term starts. I don't think it's just me; many people I know seem to have had a lot of chaos this NY.
I wonder if I should go to Whitby? I went the last two springs with D; it might be odd going on my own. I'm not quite so close to the camgoths as to the geeks in my social circle, so I might feel isolated. But it would still be a nice holiday. OTOH, I'll be having a nice holiday around that time at Eastercon. Maybe I should think about going to Whitby in November, that might spread it out a bit more. But everyone's birthday is in November (including mine); that might not be a great idea. Oh, I don't know. Maybe I could go to BiCon in the summer? Being single though, that could end up rather...chaotic :-) Anyway, I'll think more about it later.
