Thanks to all who came along to my birthday drinks last night - mikewd, karohemd, mobbsy, lnr and simont - I had a great time chatting to and drinking with you, and I look forward to the book, mobbsy! Thanks also to my lovely husband, who organised it and took me out for a delicious meal at Charlie Chan's on Thursday (my actual birthday), and bought me some beautiful clothes. I am now 31, which seems a good age to be.

I wish it wasn't so bloody cold, though!

Congratulations, and I'm really sorry to have missed it. I'm afraid I've not really been getting out much in the last little while, was feeling very depressed on Saturday and only eventually made it out of the house at about half past ten... Happy Birthday, rather belatedly, anyway!
