Splendid party last night in Rutland to celebrate the_mendicant's birthday. Notably, the moment I walked in, I met gerald_duck, who is someone I really should have met ages ago, since we seem to know almost entirely overlapping sets of people! Not just camgeeks and ex-camgeeks, but late 80s international maths olympiad-type people. All very strange. It's remarkable how entertaining 15-year-old gossip is...
