So, made dinner last night, dressed up in PVC jeans and the t-shirt Gina gave me, and headed off to the Boat Race. M soon arrived, and we chatted quite a bit; later, assorted camgoths and metallers arrived, who I chatted to. G was there but we ignored each other. W was also there; we flirted with each other a lot and he asked me to email him. (What am I like?!) Pretty Vacant were quite good, though their choice of covers was odd and the frontwoman was dire. Guitarists were pretty impressive, though.
Ran into random guy I last saw in the Devonshire Arms; turns out he's the guitarist for Viagra Falls. They were pretty good too, though to be honest I was paying less attention than I might have done due to getting very drunk. Chatted to RRW and EP pleasantly enough, though EP seemed to get paranoid after a while about whether she was boring me and whether her husband was flirting with me. Strange. Still, I guess I don't have a monopoly on unfounded paranoia!
M left to go to E and R's party; I left for the party at Empire, which I reached about midnight due to taking a rather foolish route. Quite a lot of people were there; apparently D had been there earlier, but left. The party was generally good - I did a blind taste test on two kinds of red wine in four glasses, and successfully grouped the same ones together, even expressing a preference for the one reckoned to be better. I was very surprised. Everyone else managed the same feat as well, except ST who has no sense of smell.
I got various people to do the D&D stat test, which was amusing. My ex I. played a couple of games of chess against mcv and someone else, and lost both. This seemed to put him in a foul mood. Later, mcv and I got everyone to play I Have Never, which was quite entertaining, though I. asked some pretty bitchy questions clearly targetted at me, like "I have never dumped someone for someone else"... A bit later, when everyone was drunker, mcv and I suggested playing Truth Or Dare instead, for a change. However, I. expressed dissatisfaction with the concept of the game, saying the rules were ill-defined and gave the questioner unlimited power. We said that normal social forces prevented the game getting out of hand; people just don't ask really evil things. But I. decided the game was unplayable, unwinnable (!) and in fact not a game at all. The argument became more heated; towards the end, ST said he didn't particularly enjoy it when he'd played it before.
Then I. changed his tune and claimed that the whole argument had arisen because mcv and I were trying to browbeat him and ST into playing a game they didn't want to play. (Even though I had scarcely participated in the argument; it was mainly mcv and T vs. I. I. became more and more irate; P and ST got up and left, and then I. and C left as well, with I. in a big huff. mcv was very pissed off with I. afterwards, but we all calmed down and mcv, T and I played a game of Truth Or Dare amongst ourselves.
Eventually, mcv fell asleep, and I found myself having a bizarre rant at T about the crapness of my childhood. mcv went to bed, and T and I slept on the sofa for a few hours, until T apparently felt too uncomfortable and left. I carried on sleeping on Empire's sofa until about 2.30pm. Then I had some bread and cheese with mcv and pjc before walking back to college. I still feel really ill due to hangover. Urgle.
