Yesterday I got trapped in G's house when I got up because one of his housemates had deadlocked the front door. I got out another door, but spent ages trying to get it locked from the outside. Annoying.
Came back to college, did a chapter of my Japanese book, prepared for the Old Norse class I give in the evening. G. turned up unexpectedly in the afternoon, wanting alcohol again. He went away before my Norse class though.
Only M. came for the class. My ex-partner, D., usually comes, but didn't this time (which didn't altogether surprise me). M. and I have decided to hold off on any other classes until next term, when more people may be around. Otherwise, we'll stop it here. It'll be a shame - I've been giving this class for the last few years, and we had an Old English class before that, in which we read all of Beowulf. Ah well, all things come to an end.
In the evening, I went off the Corner House on Newmarket Road, a pub I've not been to before. G. was there with his role-playing friends, of whom I only know C. We chatted for a bit, but I felt rather out of place. After a bit, the rest of them all went off to see Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. G. wanted to see it, but had run out of money, so we didn't. A bit later, we went back to G's house, where he showed me endless photos of his role-playing friends at various parties I hadn't gone to, which wasn't particularly interesting.
Oh, I also downloaded the linux version of Doom.
