Jun. 25th, 2002 01:47 pmOn Sunday evening, G and I (and later DM) went over to
surje's place. It's very nice and he has two excellent cats. We ate pizza and salad and then watched various films in his amazing home cinema-type thing - big projector screen on the wall, with curtains and everything. Very impressive. First, saw eXistenZ and The Big Lebowski, neither of which I'd seen before. I enjoyed them both, but particularly eXistenZ. It reminded me somehow of Niven's book Dreampark. Then I rather whinily persuaded people to watch Mimic, which I saw when it came out, and wanted to see again. By this point we'd drunk rather too much gin, red wine and white wine, and it was about 6am, so we thought we should go! Great night anyway, thanks sj.
Yesterday I didn't do anything particular, except make lots of pancakes. Pancakes are a remarkably cheap dinner, and tasty, though I suppose I would get sick of them if I had them too often. Oh yes, we also watched Heat, which I thought I'd seen before, but actually hadn't. Kind of appropriate viewing for such a hot night.
Tonight we will go to the Calling, and on Wednesday we're going to see G's friend T and a Russian friend of hers.
