Well, there seems to be a definite consensus in favour of lampshades. I guess I'll have to get some then!
In other news, we are trying very hard to get G a job, any job, and he's spending a lot of time fixing computers (his own and other people's). I am sort of getting round to writing my article for this German conference proceedings. Oh, it strikes me that I haven't yet told my parents about our new flat. I suppose I should do, really, but I'm reluctant to contact them when I know they'll only go on at me about getting my book published, and are unlikely to be pleased about me living with G anyway.

Ideally, something working with computers, but that seems unlikely in the current environment. Any sort of admin or data entry or customer services type thing (but not pure secretarial, as he doesn't do audio typing for instance). Thanks for the offer!
