Dec. 12th, 2001 09:58 amWent for lunch with G yesterday again. The Prince Regent wasn't serving food due to a Christmas party, so we hurried to the Globe instead. I was really tired in the afternoon, and took a nap. In the evening, went to the PR again to see G, and also met his workmate B, who's a very jolly chap with numerous tattoos, some of which he can't remember having done due to being drunk at the time! We all moved off after a bit to the Corner House to meet R, but the pub had run out of food and almost out of beer - the landlord's leaving, and the pub's not being kept up at all. Rather a disaster, really. R, G and I went to the KSR later, where there were lots of goths playing pool. Afterwards, G and I came back to college, where we went to bed straight away, being very tired.
This morning, I am puzzled by my computer, iguana. Its backups are taking longer and longer each week - specifically, the time taken to ftp the compressed backup file to long-term storage. I don't know why this is happening - it doesn't correlate with the size of the file. Also, I noticed today that the system clock is wrong by exactly an hour and a half. I think this can only just have happened, and I have no idea why. Possibly it is linked to the slow backups in some way.
