Sep. 5th, 2002 08:16 amYesterday was pretty exhausting too. After unpacking various things and getting my computer set up, I went over to have lunch with G, and then briefly to college to do final admin things, like handing my key in at the Porters' Lodge, leaving forwarding address and so on. Came back via market (to get potatoes and tomatoes) and flopped for a bit in the flat. Then went and told my bank my new address (the woman tried to interest me in a sodding Gold account again!), to post letters, get stuff from the Co-op and Londis (and, incidentally, got some nice olives and sun-dried tomatoes from Limoncello), before popping into our letting agency to ask Elaine about picture hooks. I had brought some sample hooks with me, which she decided were acceptable. So I went back home and put up pictures around the flat. They look groovy!
G came back quite late (lots of people turned up at the Benefits Office at the last moment wanting emergency giros, so he had to stay until they were done) and we had dinner, watched a Blackadder one-off (the Cavalier Years) and went to bed quite early.
Oh, I'm talking to my mother again. She seems in a more reasonable frame of mind at last; actually taking an interest in what's happening in my life, rather than what she'd like to happen.
