vyvyanxToday has been ultimately nice. I was very stressed earlier about my article, but two people offered to print it out for me, and I managed to determine the problem with file corruption anyway, so they now have apparently received an uncorrupted version.
I also wrote to the guy at OUP, asking whether he got my PDF files ok. He said he had, but had been at a conference recently, and that was why he hadn't replied sooner. He said he shared a printer with five other people, and it wouldn't be appreciated if he printed my thesis out on it, so I'm sending him hardcopy. Fingers still crossed.
Couldn't get the discount CDs, but managed to get all the other shopping I wanted. Tomorrow DM is coming round for dinner - yay! Also, on Saturday, we shall have a day of visiting aunts: first my vegan actress aunt Christine, and her seriously agoraphobic partner Pete, with their numerous rescued dogs, in Mortlake. Later, G's lesbian gestalt psychologist aunt and her partner, in a different part of London. Then we'll go to Slimelight, and hopefully see Doogle.
Tonight I made a dinner of quorn fillets and garlic mushrooms in a gorgonzola sauce, with mashed potato. It was nice. Oh yes, I also mailed my old friend CA about various linguistic things, which was cool.
