vyvyanxMeant to go to geek pizza yesterday, but G came round after a shitty day at work and didn't feel like it, so we went to the Maypole so that he could cheer up with steak and cocktails. And very nice cocktails they were too. Then we went to the KSR, where the weekly pool tournament was in progress. So G couldn't play pool, and there weren't many goths around, except JS and E, who were playing in the tournament. We chatted a bit to E about early computer hardware, then came back to my place. We drank a bit more, listened to music, chatted, quarrelled good-naturedly, played computer games, and eventually went to bed.
This morning, the guy from college came round, and said I had been assigned someone to assess my research and possibly suggest a continuation of my fellowship for another couple of years. Which would be cool. I'll have to get a bit more work done, now!
Spent some time improving my transliteration of Arabic script, then headed off to meet G for lunch. We ate in the Globe, and chatted about depression and ways of dealing with it. I feel very fond of G atm.
