I can't believe I had a nightmare last night about shopping. It was terrible - I ended up spending money we didn't have on worthless tat we didn't need, couldn't use, and had nowhere to put. I woke up in an awful panic.

I'm sure most people don't have nightmares about consumerism! (Even I don't, usually; the night before last it was giant mutant vampire bats spreading panic and destruction across the country, and forcing me to flee to France.)

Fleeing to France was part of the nightmarish aspect, certainly. I don't really like France, or most French people I've met, and wouldn't want to live there at all.

I quite like france, many happy childhood memories of chateaus, henges and pastries, my word they can make pastries :)
