About time for one of my drunken posts.

Life is fine, but very busy atm. I started my new job last Tuesday, had to work Monday this week (supposed to be Tue-Fri) and so had today off. Spent all today preparing handouts for my final OU tutorial tomorrow (10.30am in Leicester; up at 7.00 to catch train *joy*). Have also spent notional free time when not at new job marking rather late OU scripts from final TMA; composing very long and harrowing emails to my "challenging" student who effectively asked me to do all her revision for her, and then insulted me when I said I wasn't allowed to do that; writing up background history for character in R's Cyberpunk game that G and I are starting going to; going to *4* roleplaying evenings (Cthulhu, 2 Cyberpunk, Rogue Trooper); going to pub once; doing pretty much all usual housework, shopping, cooking etc. Oh yes, and I had a troublesome mole on the back of my neck cut off, and the stitches taken out yesterday.

It's not that anything's going wrong with my life, it's just I'm really busy atm! I can't wait for this weekend to be done; then all my OU tuition should be over for the year, and I can catch up with myself :-)

it's good to be busy at times! then it's good to catch your breath on occasion. how is the day job going? is the amount of research reasonable or sporadic?

Oh, it's fine, my boss is pleasant and I have my own office. Not really any research as such yet, just lots of photocopying and filing so far :-) I must have photocopied over 20K sheets of paper last week!

wow. i've never had my own office. once when i was temping i shared an office and the other guy was away for a week. all deportment goes to the wind when you don't think anyone's watching you!
