Today on Mill Road, I saw a poster that said:
THE LORD OF THE KINGS
The Coming of the King
DON'T MISS THE BIG FEATURE THIS CHRISTMAS!
Coming soon to a church near you...

which was followed by a couple of adverts for carol services. I thought it was an amusing example of Christmas commercialism being hijacked by religion, rather than vice versa :-)

I've seen a very similar thing in a Christian Catalogue I get sent, which has a t-shirt of Lord of the Kings, and some Bible quote (which is unreadable because of the font) all designed to look like a LoTR shirt. Interesting that it's happing in the UK too. Or scary.
