I glanced at the news notification last night, and I heard it mentioned today but, no, I've not seen a proper local news programme since it happened. Maybe I'll hear something on the radio on the way home tonight.

We have all sorts of strange lunatics around here. A couple of years ago we had some woman cut the baby out from another, hide her body, and claim the baby as her own! We also had a demented squirrel that would attack people.
